But a week with the Vespa Primavera 150 made me rethink the scooter, and its place in the motorcycle world. I'm coming up on my LX150's birthday this month and I've just cracked 4k, made up almost completely of my 15 mile daily commute. First out is a review of my Vespa LX 125cc engined scooter, of year 2007.
Piaggio has issued a recall for 2,613 scooters to fix issues with defective fuel pumps. Dom: I used to change my oil in my LX150 every 3000 miles. I have been doing a little research on the LX150, and this has been wonderful to read. Over-all the Vespa LX150 was a very happy and fun ride.
The seat height is 30.5 inches, maybe a little high for shorter riders, but the scooter is not so heavy that you really need to keep both feet flat on the ground to maneuver it. For a significant premium over the regular LX, owner receive a gorgeous leather 2-piece seat, a handy chrome rear rack, a small windscreen and the exposed headlight.
The other scooter based on the LX frame is the LXV 150. Because there is simply nothing else out there that comes close to what an icon the Vespa has become, even in this more modern LXV 150 3V i.e. form. The 114 kg LXV 150 is powered by vespa a 150cc four-stroke 3V engine, which comes with fuel injection.
Vespa 50 Elestart, 1970 - It featured the great novelty of electric ignition, but the design was also completely revised and embellished compared to the 50 Special. Vespa 150 different improved performance, but also - a headlamp mounted high above the wheel.
